Scroll saw Special Interest Group (SS SIG) 3-16-2017
The SS Sig met at Rick's shop on Thursday March 16, 2017.
Attendees (11):

It was estimated that this simple project required over $1000 in tools, seven workstation setups, and about two hours of preparation and setup time.
Process:
Cut piece of wood 3/4 x 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.
Glue pattern to wood.
Drill two 1/4" holes on sides.
Pull rubber band through the 1/8" hole, and slip around the 1/4" pegs. The project is ready for testing.

Seemed like a worthwhile project - enjoyed by all - especially the testing part - with some good suggestions and ideas for improvements, if we were to go into larger production numbers.

Cut dowel to length. Then drill 1/8" hole in 3/8 " dowel.
Drill 1/2" hole in project.
Pull rubber band through the 1/8" hole, and slip around the 1/4" pegs. The project is ready for testing.

Toy Workshop 3-11-2017
A toy workshop was held on the second Saturday in March at the shop at the CLUB FOR BOYS.
Once again the weather was cool as we started the day with the Rapid City Woodworkers Association Toy Program.
