Toy Workshop 2-8-2020 (TWS2020-03)

It was a busy day today, with lots of activity.  Temperatures were in the teens at the start of the workshop, but reached 40 degrees by mid day.  Members Attending: 28

Activities today:

Sanding puppy ears (80)
Tracing more toys/cutting/packing
Drilling axle holes
Drilling starter holes for scrollsawers
Drilling windows with new Forstner bits
Sanding blocks for block bags
Cutting Turtle Banks with scroll saws
Packed up 45 critter bags ready for inventory, and one block bag.

Ken brought in a box of toys ready for sealing. Rollie brought in a box of cutout critters, ready to sand and router.  Rollie also brought back about 100 tugboat hulls rough cut and ready for sanding.
Rick finished an inventory of the toys remaining from last year.  This will be put into the tally along with new toys ready for inventory.  Rick returned a box of critters all sanded, and routered, and ready to go into cloth bags.

Rick cut the centers out of the turtle banks with a hole saw last week at his shop.  Rick and Ed cut all the turtle banks to shape today.  Rick took them home to continue working on them, getting them ready for circular Plexiglas windows.

Dale from Dale's Electric wired up a 220 plug in the new garage, so we are getting closer to our goal of planing wood in the garage.  Last week, Bob and Rick built an adapter to catch the sawdust for our Club Planner.  A few more items are needed and then we will be ready to plane some wood for the rest of our toys.

Our traced toys count is 1498, with 182 more wheeled toys traced today.  This is 62% of the total number of traceable toys to be traced for 2020.
