We held a Toy Making Workshop at the Club for Boys on June 26, 2021. A beautiful day for making sawdust outside.
Attending (15): Patsy, Jerry, Don, John, Julian, Harley, Bel, Al, Ken, Rick, Lon, ollie, Kathie, Bob and Ron
Activities:
1. Unload tools.2. Set up tools and work stations.3. Router edges of 3/4" thick critters.4. Cut toys and critters to shape on 2 Scroll Saws.5. Drill axle holes and windows in 2" thick toys and eyes on critters.6. Hand-sand (final before wheels): Paddles, Ameba cars, race cars plus two boxes of toys returned by Don.7. Trace more Love Bugs8. Toys for home shops - Several boxes of toys were taken home for work by individual members in home shops.9. Bob brought in about 130 finish sprayed toys ready for wheels, and about 265 toys to be hand sanded after sealer was applied.10. Don, Lon Ken, Rollie and Rick returned boxes in various stages of construction.11. Install wheels and blue axles on Love Bugs (72).12. Install 2021 green axles and wheels on Soccer Vans (10) and Locomotives (38).13. Install rotors and wheels on prototype helicopters (11).14. Inventory, label, count, and package completed toys: 131 toys15. Tear down workstations; clean up the area.16. Load up tools.
