We held our eleventh Toy Workshop (TWS) for 2024 on Saturday June 8, 2024, from 9:00 to 12:00 am. This was held at the Wood Shop at 910 Wood Ave in Rapid City. The shop is in the basement of the annex to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
It was a beautiful day with the temperature at 70 degrees. We worked inside today handsanding, drilling and cutting and outside sanding, cutting and routering.
The attendees at today's workshop (23) included Keith, Lon, Ken, Cleon, Lauree, Darwin, Al, Don, Jerry, Kathie and Bob, Stu, Russ, Gary, Grant, Roy, John, Julian, Mary Jo, Harley, Nick, Ed, and Rick.
Gary Graves brought in completed tops, ready for inventory, made by his friend Mark Rumble in Colorado.
Cleon took on the role of Tugboat Captain today. He completed the inventory of parts. Work to be done includes: Cabins are assembled but need to be sanded and routered. Smoke stacks need to be drilled. Several hulls need to be drilled, cut, sanded and routered. Cleon drilled rope holes in hulls today. He took home the rest of the hulls to cut to shape on the scrollsaw.
