Just a note to tell you about the Maker Festival - Rick will be setting up on 7th Street between the Dahl and the Rapid City Public Library at or near 8:30 am on Saturday July 30, 2016. The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm. Please bring your own water and chairs. Rick will have the tables, the canopy, the toys, and the other items needed for the event. Saturday we had a good turnout at the Fair. Lon, Ron, Al, Frank, Danny, Lauree and Rollie. I had 125 cars ready to go and by Noon we were down to 40. I had to go home and finish 50 more. They were making bets on if I would get back before it was over. I got back about 1:30 - they were down to 10 cars. We gave away 155 cars and added more items to the checklist for next time.. Our tent was only 8x8 and the afternoon storm helped clean the tables. The guy next to us let us stand under his tent, so all was well.
A lady by the name of Stephanie Smith stopped by and asked if we could help out with an event for the Oelrich's school. She wanted 50 cars for an event. I got them ready and she picked them up this morning. I gave her 50 cars, 208 wheels and 210 axles. I gave them a brief explanation and sent them on their way.
