The Wood Turning Special Interest Group (WT SIG) was held on June 28, 2023.
All RCWA members and guests are welcome to attend. It is on the calendar for the last Wednesday of each month at 1 pm. It is held in Jim and Maggie’s Shop at 2879 Spotted Fawn Lane, Rapid City, SD 57702.

Today Al demonstrated how to turn wooden pens on the club lathe. He covered the whole process from cutting and drilling the blanks, inserting and gluing the brass sleeves in the wood blanks, positioning the blanks on the mandrel with sleeves, turning the blanks to shape, finishing the blanks, and assembling the wooden pen.
