Toy Workshop - Aug 20, 2016

Toy Workshop 8-20-2016 at CFB Shop – 9 to 10:30 am

All - we will be holding a short Toy Workshop on Saturday August 20th from 9 am to 10:30 am at the Shop at the Club for Boys.  This will be an exchange type workshop - both information and toys - but we won't be doing hands-on toy making.    If you have toys you are working on at home, please bring the status.  If you need parts for toys in work, please bring that information as well.   Hope to see you there.

Saturday August 27th - Family Potluck Picnic  at Bob and Kathie's - 4 pm to 8 pm

Sunday August 28th Outreach Event - Noon - Giveaway Vans (GAVs) and Racing - at 910 Wood Ave in RC

Saturday September 10th - Toymaking Workshop Marathon begins - every Saturday morning in Sept-Oct-Nov 2016.
Workshops will be from 9 am to noon in Shop at CFB until we are finished for 2016 (2000 toys goal).  We hope to finish early as we did last year.

Monday Sept 12th - General Meeting at 910 Wood Ave in RC from 7 to 9 pm

Thursday Sept 15th - SS SIG at Rick W's Shop - 7 pm to 9 pm

Attendees (11):  Al Oines, Paul Douglas, Kathie and Bob Buchanan, Rollie Lynde, Lauree and Darwin Buus, Julian Wigen, Grant Coffin, Ed Pike and Rick Weisbeck

A review of toys in work was held and exchanges of parts and toys in work were made.  A review of all 22 types of toys in work was conducted to identify what parts are needed and what parts are completed.  Our toy building marathon will begin on Sept 10 and continue until all toys for 2016 are completed.

Paul took two boxes of toys home to drill axle holes.  Darwin took one box of traced toys home to cut to shape.  Bob will order axles to replace those used in the numerous Give Away Van events that we attended this summer.
