Attending today (18):   Mary Jo, Mag, Bel, Jim, Gary, Rollie, Ken, Al, Julian, Harley, Grant, Kathie, Bob, Rick, Patsy, Jerry, Mary G, and Jeff.

During the previous week, cradles (24) were assembled, sealed, sanded, finished with polyrub, fitted with handmade quilts and baby dolls.  Then they were packed and brought into the storeroom today.

Hand sanding activity involved locomotives, vans, Lightning Mc Queens,  puppies, mixed ICU, helos, race cars, small cars.

Wheels were installed on 5 different types of toys for a total of 333 toys put into inventory for Christmas giving.  Wheels were installed on airplanes, helos, oldie bugs, small bugs, and small cars.

Tugboat cabins were cut to shape on a scrollsaw.  Tugboat hulls were fitted with pegs and sanded flush.  Axle holes were drilled in Shark cars.  Basketball games:  back boards were secured to hoops with screws.  Airplanes were fitted with wheels.  Helicopters were finished with CNC generated rotors.  The last of the Batman cars were cut to shape on the scrollsaw.

Sanding and routering activities in the big tent:  Crayon whales were sanded on both flat and curved surfaces, and then routered.  Caravans were routered, and sanded on the flat sides.  Wooden blocks were partially routered and then cut to length.  Ten complete sets were cut today.

Shop improvements:  Grant hung an LED shop light over a dimly lit area by the drill press.  Mary G brought in several plastic chairs.

Major progress was made on lots of toys that are still in work.  This effort is held under the big tent in the parking lot.  The curved edges of these toys were sanded on oscillating sanders, their edges were routered, and their flat sides sanded smooth.  Improvements to the work shop continued with two sets of shelves added to closets.  Many members are still working on toys at home shops and then bringing them to the toy workshops for further activities.

Results of today's workshop:  333 toys were finished and put into inventory
