Christina Holiday from News center 1 visited our Workshop today to do a story about our toy program. Her story was shown on the ten o'clock news tonight.

Many Hands Make Light Work!

Attendees (18) included Lon, Al, Ed, Ken, Kathie, Bob, Grant, Darwin, Don, Lauree, Russ, Nick, Rick, Julian, John, Patsy, Stu, and Jerry.
Today's Activities:
Activities today included cutting toys to shape using scrollsaws. Jerry and Darwin cut out critters. Ed shaped the nose of tugboat cabins. Stu and crew sanded the noses smooth. Grant glued up more tugboat cabins. Bob then traced the shape of cabin noses on them.
John and Julian and Russ put wheels on numerous toys (108). This included school busses, racers with drivers, and thin 5 Favs cars.
Nick drilled holes in airplane wings and installed them on airplane fuselages. The next step is installing two wheels on each airplane.
Kathie, Mary Jo, Patsy and Don hand sanded a large number of toys, moving them on to the spraying area at Bob's shop. Turtle Banks and helicopters are ready to be sealed. Locomotives are ready to be drilled to accept smoke stacks and then spray finished.
Lon returned another box of toys all cut to shape, routered and sanded. Lon took home a few boxes of toys to work on. Don took home a few boxes to work on.
Russ installed pegs in tugboat hulls. Stu sanded the pegs flush.
Ken, Al, new member, and Stu worked on toys outside - routering and sanding the edges of toys. This included tug boat parts.
Rick, Bob and Lauree expedited the flow of toys around the production line today.
As a result of all previous activities with cutting and drilling, we still have a good backlog of rough sanding, routering of edges, and finish sanding (with mouse sanders) left to do. Several boxes of critters are available for cutting to shape. There are several boxes of toys ready for finish spraying. Several boxes of toys are ready to be sealed.
