Toy Packing and Distribution Day 12.2.2023

Toy Packing/Distribution Day

We started to setup for the Toy Packing and Distribution Day at 8:30 am on Saturday Dec 2, 2023.  This included preliminary things like moving tools out of the store room, moving the boxes of toys from the store room to the shop area, setting up all the toys in toy number order, and taking photos of "one-each" of all the toys on a table by category, and then as a total group, and then putting those toys back.   We started "toy picking and box filling" about 9:45 am and finished by 11 am.  We packed 148 boxes total.

Attending (27):

Patsy, Jerry, Grant, Bob, Kathie, John, Rick, Cori, Ken, Adam, Mary Jo, Keith, Julian, Cleon, Al, Frank, Lon, Tony, Nick, Harley, Stu, Ed, Sue, Gary, Jim Burk, Darwin and Lauree.

The recipient organizations began picking up toys after 11:00 am.  Almost all toys were out the door by noon.  Thanks to all who helped make this a super year!

Samantha, the meteorologist on Newscenter1, paid us a visit this morning.  She put together a very entertaining story that aired on the 9 o'clock news tonight about our toy packing and distribution day.
