We held our 15th Toy Workshop (TWS) for 2022 on Saturday September 17, 2022, from 9 to noon. This was held at the Wood Shop at 910 Wood Ave in Rapid City. The shop is in the basement of the annex to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
The attendees at today's workshop (18) included Harley, Bob, Kathie, Jerry, Patsy, Stu, Jim Burk, Russ, Rick, Dennis, Mary Jo, John, Al, Ken, Jim Brown and Maggie Brown, Lon,
Today Jerry, Russ, Nick , and Rick cut toys using scroll saws. Nick drilled holes in Love Bugs.
Patsy, Mary Jo, and Maggie hand sanded various 2" and 1" toys that had been sealed with shellac.
Harley, John, and Kathie installed wheels on toys.
There was power sanding and round over routering outside under the tent in 72 degree weather.
At the end of the day, there were 10 boxes of toys ready to be sprayed with finish, and 5 boxes needing to be sealed. Rick sprayed the airplane fuselages earlier this week. They need some light sanding before wings can be installed. We will do it next TWS if needed.
More tops were completed by Dave Maude; we packed them (33) and placed into inventory. There were 257 toys packed, recorded, and placed into inventory today. This included 112 tractors made by a team in home shops headed up by Rick.
