We held our 24th Toy Workshop (TWS) for 2024 on Saturday Nov 9, 2024, from 9:00 to 12:00 am. This was held at the Wood Shop at 910 Wood Ave in Rapid City. The shop is in the basement of the annex to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
The weather really changed today, with 43 degrees for the expected high, with rain. We worked inside today handsanding, finishing basketball games, and installing puppy dog and dachshund ears, and installing regular wheels. Those working outside in the rain under a tent were sanding, and routering.
The attendees at today's workshop (25) included Rick, Harley, Bob B, Don, Mary Jo, Frank, Darwin, Lauree, Lon, Cleon, Gary G, Patsy, Jerry, Ken M, Nick, Jim Brown, Maggie, Stu, Dee, John, Tony, Grant, Roy E, Roy's friend Jordan, and Russ.

- Spindle sand windows
- Router edges of toys after first sanding
- Bring in Toys completed at home (Turtle Banks - Rick)
- Bring in Quilts for Cradles completed at home (Joan Bares and Pat Graves)
- Bag the necklaces completed at home (60) for the Heart Boxes
- Jim Brown (at home) made over 300 string/ball assemblies for the basketball games and for the Paddle Games
- Finish building basketball games: Adding string/balls to games, plus spoons with rubber bands
- Pass off resawn 4x4's for Paddle Games to Jerry to cut, sand and router
- Maggie took home 5 boxes of blocks to finish up sanding
- Rick took two boxes of toys home to seal/finish
